About the Role
The Company is seeking a Career Coach to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Re-Entry Program, which is designed to assist individuals, particularly those with justice-impacted backgrounds, in their transition to society and the workforce. This role involves developing and implementing coaching strategies, providing short-term counseling, and maintaining case files and client databases. The Career Coach will also coordinate support services, make referrals to community resources, and work with program participants to enhance their self-esteem and self-confidence. A key aspect of the position is to work with individuals to secure and sustain employment, ultimately contributing to the reduction of recidivism. Applicants for the Career Coach position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience, with a minimum of 2 years of counseling experience. Professional experience with the re-entry of formerly incarcerated individuals and adult development is essential. The role requires a deep understanding of criminal justice systems, programs, and issues, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of partners. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication and writing skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have a high level of comfort using data to guide program service delivery. A commitment to a data-driven culture and a bilingual (English/Spanish) background is helpful. The Career Coach will also be expected to stay current on new methodologies in the social work field and provide follow-up supportive services to program participants.
