Job Description

Job Summary

Skyline Displays is seeking a highly strategic, organized and analytical Chief of Staff to work closely with our CEO in managing executive priorities. The Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's vision and strategy are effectively translated into actionable initiatives across the organization. This person will serve as a key advisor to the CEO, manage cross-functional operations, and emerging industry trends. Additionally, the role provides clear assessment of data, including financial, to support executive decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Strategic Planning & Execution:

o Partner with the CEO to develop and refine corporate strategies and initiatives.

o Translate high-level goals into actionable tasks, ensuring alignment across departments.

o Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives

o Research and recommends new and revised policies and strategies.

o Ensure timely and effective completion of projects

o Track and report on the execution of key projects and strategic objectives.

o Provide background and rationale for executive leadership to ensure informed decision-making.

· Operational Efficiency:

o Optimize business processes and workflows to ensure efficiency, clarity, and accountability.

o Implement systems for monitoring performance and assessing outcomes of strategic initiatives.

o Identify areas for operational improvement and present recommendations for enhancement.

· Financial Oversight:

o Monitor company financials in partnership with the finance team to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

o Assist in budget planning and financial forecasting.

o Provide financial assessments to guide resource allocation and investment decisions.

· Market Trends & Competitive Intelligence:

o Keep up with industry trends, including shifts in the tradeshow and marketing display space.

o Provide the CEO and executive team with regular insights on emerging opportunities and challenges.

o Support the CEO in identifying new growth avenues or risks within the marketplace.

· Communication & Reporting:

o Serve as the communication liaison between the CEO and department heads, facilitating clear information flow.

o Prepare executive summaries, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

o Ensure executive leadership is consistently informed on the "why" behind strategic decisions and their outcomes.

o Ensures action items are completed by leadership team members

o Represent CEO in meetings, by email, and phone calls with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field

Experience or Training: 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role or chief of staff position.

Ø Proven experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, and operational management.

Ø Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage across all levels of the organization.

Ø Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Ø Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably within a growth-oriented company.

Ø High level of emotional intelligence and ability to build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders.

Ø Analytical mindset, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Ø Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement.

Ø Deep understanding of business processes, financial management, and employee engagement.

Ø Exceptional time management skills

Ø Adept at critical thinking and problem-solving

Ø Flexibility in approach and communication style

Ø Positive outlook on business transformation

Ø Track record of organizing and directing multiple teams and departments

Ø Highly experienced with Excel for reporting and analytics

 

Preferred Qualifications

Education: MBA preferred

Ø Strong understanding of industry trends within the tradeshow, event marketing, or display industry.

Ø Experience working in a private equity portfolio company

Ø Transformation program oversight

Ø Experience consulting in B2B service and/or manufacturing organizations

 

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds (such as laptop, documents, or small office equipment).
