About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Drug Safety Physician to join their pioneering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical safety strategy of assigned drug projects and products, providing expertise and guidance to various committees and teams. This role involves proactive risk management in line with global regulatory requirements, continuous evaluation of safety data, and collaboration with partners. The Executive Director will lead risk assessment and benefit/risk activities, perform signal detection and evaluation, and contribute to the maintenance of the pharmacovigilance system. Applicants must have a medical degree (e.g., MD, MBBS) and a minimum of 15 years' of drug development and patient safety experience, with a significant portion in the industry. The role requires extensive experience in safety filing activities, signal detection, and supporting aggregate reports, as well as a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and global regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be able to work across therapeutic areas, collaborate effectively, and have a proven track record of delivering in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities also include providing medical review, leading risk management activities, and contributing to regulatory documents. The Executive Director may be called upon to act as a medical monitor for clinical trials and support the company in various ad hoc activities.
