About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Government Affairs and Public Policy. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the engagement strategy, advocating for priority issues, and maintaining relationships with key government and elected officials. This role requires a professional with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years experience in government relations, particularly within federal financial regulatory environments. The Executive Director will be expected to have excellent judgment, a strong understanding of legislative and policy processes, and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with both external and internal stakeholders. A collaborative and diplomatic approach to problem-solving and relationship-building is essential, as is a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include tracking U.S. legislative matters, collaborating with the regulatory policy team and legal department, and providing strategic advice to senior executives. The role also involves raising the company's profile with government bodies, industry groups, and member associations through thought leadership and proactive engagement. Experience with internationally headquartered institutions is preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion and will be part of a hybrid workforce model that allows for both in-office and remote work. The company is an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations for employees and applicants with disabilities.
