Learning Experience Designer will create best-in-class learning experiences with measurable outcomes that span in-person, virtual and eLearning formats. Your work will support all levels of employees within the organization to enhance operational excellence, safety, and employee experience.
You will develop entire training programs for frontline employees, leaders, and corporate teams, focusing on operational and safety processes, leadership, values and culture, customer and client success, and certification programs. Partnering closely with teams across functions, regions, and business units, you will design learning opportunities that emphasize learner engagement. This is a fully remote position, and the candidate can reside anywhere in the US.
Principal Job Duties: - Scope, design, develop, and maintain online, virtual, and in-person training content to enable operational excellence and a great employee experience.
- Serve as a Learning Management System (LMS) subject-matter expert, helping admin the organization's LMS platform, ensuring content accuracy, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system functionality.
- Produce relevant, measurable, and learner-centered experiences using scripts, storyboards, content authoring tools, and user-centered design techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business needs and translate them into blended learning solutions.
- Assist with training development projects with minimal guidance.
- Integrate effective and modern learning practices, including interactive live virtual, game-based, microlearning, scenario-based, and AI-driven tools available within the Absorb LMS Create module to assist in the content creation process.
- Ensure content quality through strong instructional design, consistency, accuracy, and audience relevance.
- Analyze training effectiveness using data insights and iteratively improve learning experiences based on results and feedback.
- Create and standardize tools, processes, and templates to streamline program development.
Requirements :
- Background in instructional design, adult learning, or related fields.
- Experience conducting needs analysis to assess training requirements, building learning experiences from scratch, and defining business challenges or problems to solve through training.
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, performance improvement methodologies, and innovative ways to engage learners.
- Proven success in building learner-centered experiences such as simulations, scenarios, game-based learning, job aids, video, and animation.
- Demonstrated ability to consult, influence, and develop strong relationships with cross-functional leaders and SMEs.
- Learning Tech Tools: Experience with LMS platforms, authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Absorb Create, SCORM), and creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, video production software).
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Monday.com, and effective project tracking practices.
- Strong bias for action and ability to independently manage multiple projects.
Education - Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
Experience - 2+ years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or creating blended learning programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Physical Demands: - Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
