Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Public Education Coordinator to oversee a vibrant dual enrollment program. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with high schools, particularly in Southwest Montana, while fostering educational opportunities for students to excel in college-level courses.
As a Public Education Coordinator, you will collaborate with school administrators, guidance counselors, teachers, students, and parents to expand course offerings and boost enrollment. Your responsibilities will include hosting public information sessions, assisting students with registration, monitoring their progress, and ensuring a high level of support and customer service. Travel and a flexible schedule are integral parts of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain partnerships with high schools to support and grow dual enrollment programs.
Conduct public meetings to inform and encourage student participation in courses.
Assist with student registration, track student outcomes, and address inquiries or concerns from schools and families.
Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, including students, parents, and school personnel.
Travel to high schools and manage a flexible schedule to meet program needs.
Required Qualifications
An Associate's degree (AS or AAS) or higher.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with public speaking.
Willingness to travel and work independently or as part of a team.
Receptive to constructive feedback and committed to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with safeguarding student records and maintaining confidentiality.
Skills in PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
Comfort with impromptu public speaking.
Knowledge of Montana's post-secondary education system and dual enrollment processes.
Ability to engage high school students using digital media (e.g., virtual orientations, online office hours).
Strong relationship-building skills with schools, families, and campus staff.
Understanding of career pathways and their connection to dual enrollment programs.
