Nature & Scope :

Positional Overview

The main objective of this role is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC and screw machine equipment for the production of precision parts.

Role & Responsibilit y:

Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

• Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), FDA regulations, and company policies.
• Set up and operate screw machines with minimal assistance.
• Ensure production meets cycle time, yield, and quality expectations.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously as needed.
• Sharpen and replace tooling as necessary to maintain tolerances, providing input or recommendations when appropriate.
• Monitor and make minimal adjustments to equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts.
• Preset tooling for setups and tool replacements during operations.
• Maintain tooling according to established tool life guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues with minimal assistance.
• Deburr, buff, or sand parts as needed to meet print specifications.
• Verify revision levels for ongoing operations.
• Check documentation and accuracy of completed tasks.
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally using proper equipment to ensure they meet requirements.
• Complete all necessary documentation for current operations.
• Adhere to quality procedures to ensure traceability and segregation of materials.
• Practice 5S principles daily.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

Minimum Education : High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience :

• At least 2 years of machine shop experience in all phases of machining.
• 2 years of experience working with screw machines and CNC equipment or as a journeyman machinist.

Knowledge & Skills :
Special Skills :

• Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
• Proficient in working with small precision parts and maintaining tight tolerances.
• Skilled in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
• Strong understanding of shop math.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Specialized Knowledge :

• Basic knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
